Our hockey is going from strength to strength with 6 of our pupils picked to represent the Exeter Talent Academy at this summer’s prestigious Talent Academy (TA) Cup. 

26 players joined the Exeter Talent Academy in September, training weekly, before a final squad of 18 was picked for the TA Cup in July - an important step toward National Age Group trials. 6 of our pupils made the squad: Alba D, Lucia S, Jasper B, Brodie D, Liv T and Sam E.

The girls finished third in their pool with several standout performances:

• Lucia S scored twice, leading her team’s goal tally
• Alba D defended with maturity beyond her years, showing excellent aerial skills
• Liv T worked tirelessly in midfield, linking play and pressing hard

The boys finished fourth and delivered strong individual contributions:

• Brodie D scored a well‑taken goal and drove play forward
• Sam E controlled the tempo with composed passing
• Jasper B was excellent in goal, making key saves in one‑on‑ones and shuffles. Jasper and Brodie also helped their team reach the final of the 1v1 skills competition

Their achievements not only reflect their dedication to hockey but also showcase the support available at King's - from strength and conditioning to mentoring and extra pitch time - helping pupils manage elite hockey alongside academic commitments.

We continue to build a strong reputation in hockey and offering a pathway to regional and national opportunities - it's great to see pupils thriving in this field and this latest success reflects that.
