Mr Phillip Rothwell - Director of Development

Phillip oversees the Development Office at King’s College, working closely with OAs, parents, and friends of the school to strengthen the community and support bursaries, capital projects, and the Enhancing King’s Fund. He is leading preparations for the school’s 150th anniversary in 2030, ensuring King’s remains as vibrant for future generations as it has been for past ones.

A favourite part of Phillip’s role is hearing stories from former pupils about their time at King’s and shared moments that make the community special. Outside the office, he enjoys a busy family life with young children and exploring the countryside.

Mrs Brenda Worth - Development Manager

Brenda has been part of the King’s community since 2012, serving as Development Manager. She oversees a wide range of fundraising initiatives, including Capital Campaigns, Bursaries, and Legacies, as well as managing the administration of the Development and OA Club Office. Her role also includes the coordination of events and activities for the OA Club and she is the lead for King’s Global Connect.

When not at her desk she enjoys walking - especially along the coast - cycling, and indulging in a slice of cake.

Mrs Alison Mason - Archivist

Alison has been the College Archivist since 2010. Originally given half a term to ‘sort a few boxes’ she has successfully managed to keep herself employed in the intervening years by developing the school’s historical collections which are now available to pupils, OAs and outside researchers through the Archive Centre. The OA Archive Portal and the online archive catalogue are both projects close to her heart. Alison loves talking about all things King’s so please do not hesitate to contact her if you have questions about your time at school.

Rumour has it that Alison is kept in her own personal low-acid box in the archive strongroom on her non-working days, but her family and labradors know this to be a slight exaggeration.
