| OA Updates |
Following on from Will Begy’s successful ‘Road to Rec’ challenge - it was great to hear from another OA who has taken part in a walking challenge for the same fantastic cause!
Huw Forrest OA, (King Alfred 1995) along with 3 friends, walked 108 miles with limited rest and sleep. The team set off from the Mattioli Woods Stadium, home of the Leicester Tigers - at 6am on Thursday 4th June. They navigated physical exhaustion and sleep deprivation over the course of the 3 days, completing their challenge at The Rec, Bath Rugby’s ground at 1pm on Saturday 6th June with a total walking time of 36 hours - in time for kick-off! Critically achieving the fundraising target and being under 40 hours they set themselves.
Huw and his team have so far raised an incredible £11,600 for Motor Neurone Disease Association. If you would like to read more about their challenge, or to donate, please visit: https://www.justgiving.com/page/walkforlewis
