My life after King’s
In 2018, and whilst at University, I launched my own company, Hook Polo. It started as a university project, selling polo gloves out of my parents’ garage. Having spotted a gap in what was a stuffy and outdated market I ordered a small batch of gloves and began selling to friends and the wider polo community. They were an instant hit.
Alongside building the brand, I was serving in the British Army Reserves, and even while mobilised on operations in 2022, the business continued to grow in the background.
My ambition is to build the next British polo lifestyle brand. In 2024, we launched our first clothing collection and became the Official Clothing Partner and Sponsor of British Army Polo, taking over from Hackett.
We are now raising investment through a crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube to scale the brand to the next stage of growth, and I would genuinely welcome any support you are able to offer.
