We were delighted to welcome back Georgia Kacandes, renowned Hollywood film executive producer, for an exclusive session with pupils interested in pursuing careers in the film and acting industry.
Georgia, whose impressive credits include The Wolf of Wall Street, The Rainmaker, and Bad Teacher, shared her wealth of experience from decades in the industry. During the session she offered practical advice and insider tips for aspiring producers, writers, and actors, covering everything from breaking into the business to navigating the challenges of a competitive creative field.
Pupils had the unique opportunity to ask questions and gain insights into the realities of working in film, learning about the importance of perseverance, networking, and storytelling for building a successful career.
This inspiring event was organised by the Futures department at King’s, whose commitment to guiding pupils as they plan their next steps beyond King’s sits at the heart of their work. By creating opportunities such as this, the team ensures pupils are supported with the insight, guidance and inspiration they need to explore their ambitions and move forward with confidence.
If you can offer careers inspiration to our pupils please contact Clare Lewis, Head of Futures. Email: CHLewis@kings-taunton.co.uk
