Pupils celebrated outstanding A Level and BTEC results, having secured places at several world-class universities including Edinburgh, York, Exeter, Loughborough, UCL, Liverpool, Nottingham, Bath, Durham, Leeds, Warwick and Bristol.

In addition to securing places at top UK universities, King’s pupils have also achieved international success, gaining admission to prestigious institutions such as the Ivy League University of Columbia in the United States, as well as other outstanding Universities in Canada, Switzerland, and Hong Kong.

Across the year group, 65% of all grades achieved were A*- B. Among the 2025 cohort, fifteen pupils achieved an incredible three or more A*- A grades: Poppy C, Rosie C, Richard H, Hannah H, William K, Oscar M, Ruby M, Ashton R, Alistair S, Greta S, Gray S, Hal S, Elizabeth W. Special mention goes to Cameron W and Ruby B-K, who each achieved an impressive four A-Levels at A*-A.

Spotlight On Exceptional Success

Cameron W has earned one of only thirty nationally awarded scholarships to Sandhurst, an accolade that recognises exceptional leadership potential. He will go on to read Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics (MORSE) at the University of Warwick, an incredible achievement.

Poppy C has secured a coveted place to read Medicine at the University of Exeter. Alongside her academic success, Poppy has demonstrated exceptional musical talent, having achieved Grade 8 in both Harp and Singing.

Two exceptional sportsmen, Sochima C and Ogbemudia E, have gained places on the elite rugby performance programme at Brunel University and will be studying Biomedical Sciences and Civil Engineering, respectively.

Identical twins Gray and Hal S have achieved a combined total of six A*-A grades, a reflection of their academic strength and consistent hard work. Alongside these remarkable results Gray served as Head Boy and Hal captained the 1st XV rugby team, exemplifying leadership, commitment and the ability to balance high-level academic and extracurricular responsibilities with distinction.

We are immensely proud of the significant value-added progress achieved by the majority of pupils across a range of abilities. As of today, 90% of King’s College pupils who applied to university have secured places at either their first or second choice institution.

Continued BTEC Success

BTEC pupils have continued to build on recent successes, achieving high grades across the board and securing highly sought-after university places, including at Exeter and Bournemouth to read Physiotherapy and Sports Science.

Head of BTEC Sport, Dave Jessep, said of the excellent results:

“This year’s BTEC results are a testament to the dedication and ambition of our pupils. I am incredibly proud to see so many of them progressing to excellent universities where I am certain they will continue to thrive and make their mark. These results reflect the strength of vocational education, and I have no doubt that all students will go on to have very successful careers in the future”

Guided by a dedicated Futures department, inspirational teachers and tutors, pupils are moving on to higher education institutions to study a range of courses, including: Medicine, Economics, Agricultural Engineering, Psychology, Civil Engineering, Accounting and Finance, English, Computer Science, History, Culture, Media and Creative Arts, Biomedical Sciences, Zoology, International Development and Economics.

Our pupils are negotiating professional sports contracts, have earned places at some of the world’s most prestigious universities, and some are stepping straight into exciting careers and degree apprenticeships. Whatever their next chapter holds, on behalf of all our staff, we wish them every success and know that a bright future lies ahead.”
